24 Hour Games is here to create fun games that any Java developer in the world can learn from.
Most of the games here will not be top quality, nor will they be overly complex. Because every
game here is coded in 24 hours or less (48 hours or less if the game needs a client and server).
This not only causes the developers to think in terms of small projects, they have to think about
how to spend their time effectively. Is it best to create the most brilliant tile map engine, or is it
more important to spend the time on making the user interface more intuitive and responsive?
All the games here will be fun to play, and will have either a high score competition or will feature
multi-player abilities. For any game featured on these pages the full source code will be available
to look at and download. Keep in mind, the source code is for use under the
GNU General Public license only. There will always be
projects on going as developing games, even ones that take 24 hours
or less is non-stop.
